Abstract:
Objective:To achieve the purpose of early detection and early intervention of coronary heart disease (CHD) in high-risk population and to ensure flight safety by reviewing the risk factors and preliminary screening methods of CHD in civil pilots.Literature resource and selection:Research papers and reviews in this field.Literature quotation:Thirty papers and reports published at home and abroad were cited.Literature synthesis:The correlations of risk factors of CHD in civil pilots including age and other risk factors were analyzed. The screening effect of treadmill exercise test and carotid ultrasonography on this disease was reviewed, and the accuracy of the current cardiovascular risk score was evaluated. The following factors may be involved in the early-onset of CHD in pilots compared with common people: ①Most of the pilots who have been diagnosed CHD through routine examination have no clinical symptoms, and they were considered the latent turn out to be in the early stage of the disease. ②Pilots are more likely to have issues like working under great pressure, overnutrition and lacking of exercises than the others, those lead to a earlier age of CND risk. The stability and the pathological characteristics of carotid artery plaque examined by ultrasound can reflect the level of artery sclerosis of the system especially the coronary artery, so as to evaluate the risk of CHD in early stage. Treadmill exercise test is one of the most common noninvasive methods in the diagnosis of myocardial ischemia and latent CHD, and it is suitable for the preliminary screening of CHD.Conclusions:Age is an important risk factor of CHD in civil pilots. It is meaningful for the civil pilots over 40 years old to take such examinations of treadmill exercise test and carotid ultrasonography as the preliminary screening methods of CHD. In addition, the predictive value of biochemical indexes for CHD in civil pilots needs to be further studied based on big data.
