Abstract:
The mechanism of major depressive disorder (MDD) is complex, and immune inflammation is one of the pathological mechanisms of MDD. To study the relationship between inflammatory factors and brain structure or function of MDD, and to cross-analyze the inflammatory molecules and neuroimaging features,it can be used to classify MDD, explore new MDD biomarkers and treatment targets, and determine the prognosis. This article aims to review and summarize the previous studies on the association between inflammatory molecules and neuroimaging features in major depressive disorder, and to propose possible future research directions.
