Abstract:
Bipolar disorder with mixed features is one of the most complex and refractory types of bipolar disorder, and its prognosis is poor. This article introduces the conceptual evolution, clinical characteristics and current assessment tools of bipolar disorder with mixed features. Combined with the current international guidelines and recent research results, the treatment of bipolar disorder with mixed features is described in this paper. The second-generation antipsychotic plays an important role in the treatment, and drug combination therapy may be a more effective treatment choice. The consistency of clinical diagnosis and prognosis of patients should be further improved in the future.
