Abstract:
Objective To explore the relevant prognostic factors of retinoblastoma(RB)in children after selective ophthalmic artery infusion(SOAI).Methods The MRI and clinical data of 256 children with intraocular RB in monocular disease were analyzed retro-spectively.The influence of various factors on the prognosis was analyzed. Results Chidren with higher signal intensity(△SI),lon-ger distance from optic disc, smaller tumor diameter,no implant focus or small implant area, endogenous growth pattern, smaller retinal exfoliation area,no clinical risk factors,no vitreous hemorrhage,no eyeball shrinkage had better prognoses(P<0.05),the distance between tumor and optic disc, clinical risk factors and tumor growth pattern were independent prognostic factors. Conclusion The distance between tumor and optic disc, clinical risk factors and tumor growth pattern are closely related to the prognosis of children.Other factors can be used as important indicators to evaluate the prognosis of children.
