Abstract:
Type 2 diabetes often comorbid with depression (T2DD),leading to poor compliance,poor self-management and increasing social burden.However,the underlying pathophysiological mechanism has not been fully elucidated.Numerous studies mainly focused on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenalaxis,immune inflammatory system,insulin resistance and neuroimaging changes of T2DD.Thus the present review will summarize the major recent advances in current understanding of T2DD.
