Abstract:
As a multi-system index reflecting cumulative wear-and-tear on the body driven by stress, the abnormal of allostatic load (AL) is related to the onset of depression. This paper systematically introduced the concept and classification of allostatic load and the related research at home and abroad, analyzed the correlation between the allostatic load and depression in patients with different ages, races and genders, elucidated its possibility as a risk predictor， and provided a certain theoretical basis for further explorations regarding the pathogenesis of depression.
