Abstract:
Erdheim-Chester disease（ECD）is a rare multisystem disorder characterized by the infiltration of tissues by foamy CD68 +CD1a - histiocytes. The role of multiple imaging modalities in the management of ECD is complementary. As ultrasound represents a screening tool in clinical practice，sonographers need to heighten the awareness of ECD. Early recognition through ultrasound may facilitate timely diagnosis for this complex systemic condition. This article reviewed the application of ultrasound in the diagnosis and treatment of ECD.
