Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effectiveness and safety of preventing and treating chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting(CINV)in lymphoma patients by external application of ginger mixed with Wuzhuyu in Zusanli. Methods Sixty lymphoma patients received chemotherapy treatment admitted to Ganzhou Cancer Hospital from January 2023 to October 2024 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 30 patients in each group.Patients in control group were given conventional Western medicine and placebo treatment once a day before 0.5 hours on the day of chemotherapy; And patients in observation group were treated with ginger mixed with Wuzhuyu and externally applied to Zusanli twice a day on the basis of conventional Western medicine. After 5 days of treatment, the clinical efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,CINV grading,Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)score,Hamilton depression scale(HAMD),functional living index-cancer(FLIC),and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between two groups of patients. Results The total effective rate of observation group patients was significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05).After 5 days of treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of observation group patients was significantly lower than that of control group(P<0.05).The CINV grading of observation group patients was significantly better than that of control group(P<0.05).The HAMA and HAMD scores of observation group patients were lower than those of control group(P<0.05).The FLIC of observation group patients was significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between two groups of patients(P>0.05).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of external application of ginger mixed with Wuzhuyu on the prevention and treatment of CINV in lymphoma patients is significant. It can improve patients'traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, reduce vomiting, alleviate negative emotions, improve quality of life, and has good safety.
