Abstract:
Gait disorders are a core symptom of Parkinson′s disease (PD), significantly impacting patients′ quality of life and increasing the risks of falls, disability, and mortality. The consensus on the management of gait disorders in Parkinson′s disease in China systematically addresses the definition, classification, multidimensional assessment, comprehensive management strategies, and evidence-based medicine standards for gait disorders. Emphasizing early intervention and individualized treatment, the consensus integrates pharmacological, neuromodulation, and rehabilitation approaches, utilizing digital technology to enhance objective assessment. This consensus supplements the shortcomings of research and clinical guidance in the relevant fields in China, and has a great significance in standardizing the clinical practice, improving the diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes, and advancing the research translation.
