Abstract:
Objective:This study aims to develop a scientific research ethics knowledge, attitude and practice questionnaire for clinical nurses, and to test its reliability and validity, providing evaluation tools for nursing managers to understand nurses' attitude and behaviors towards research ethics knowledge.Methods:With the knowledge, attitude and practice theory as the conceptual framework, combined with the semi-structured interview, an initial questionnaire was formed through Delphi expert letter inquiry and pre-survey. About 307 nurses from 7 hospitals in Shanxi, Yunnan and Jiangxi provinces were selected to investigate, and the reliability and validity test were conducted.Results:Finally, a questionnaire of 28 items was designed, including scientific research ethics knowledge, attitude and behavior. The overall Cronbach's α coefficient was 0.967, the overall half reliability was 0.884 8, the overall test reliability was 0.958, and the content validity index of scale level was 0.844. The exploratory factor analysis extracted 3 common factors, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 74.150%.Conclusions:This questionnaire has good credit validity and can be used as an objective tool to evaluate the level of ethical knowledge and practice of clinical nurses.
