Abstract:
In recent years, the emergence of new short-term mechanical circulatory support, the development of implantable ventricular assist devices and the progress of heart transplantation have provided more survival opportunities and longer survival time for patients with critically ill advanced heart failure. This article reviews the significance and technical progress of bridging therapy through temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support in field of heart failure surgery, in order to further clarify clinical thinking and improve the decision-making effects.
