Abstract:
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic relapsing immune disease. Traditional drugs includes non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, biologics and immunosuppressor. However, there are problems such as insufficient stability of digestive tract, poor targeted delivery of drugs at the lesion site, and severe adverse reactions of drugs. In recent years, as a new targeted drug delivery system, targeted nanoparticles can increase the drug solubility, prolong the drug retention time in intestinal tract, target the drug delivery to inflammatory sites, improve the bioavailability of drugs and reduce the underlying adverse reactions. This review focuses on the research progress of targeted nanoparticles in IBD therapy.
