Abstract:
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a group of intestinal chronic non-specific inflammatory diseases with unknown etiology. The chronic inflammatory state of IBD affects the whole gastrointestinal tract, which significantly increases the risk of colorectal cancer, small bowel cancer and other gastrointestinal tumors, and seriously affects the prognosis of IBD patients. With the increasing prevalence of IBD in China, the prevention and treatment of IBD associated gastrointestinal tumors is still a major challenge for clinicians. It is of great significance to stratify the risk of gastrointestinal tumors in IBD patients so as to develop individualized surveillance strategies. The development of biomarkers and the selection of endoscopic methods and biopsy methods are the directions of future research. This article reviews the epidemiology, risk factors, biomarkers and endoscopic surveillance of gastrointestinal tumors in IBD.
