Effect of Yixinshu tablet on clinical efficacy and miR-206 and GDF-15 levels in elderly patients with chronic heart failure

Abstract:
Objective To explore the impact of Yixinshu tablet on clinical efficacy and serum levels of microRNA-206(miR-206)and growth differentiation factor-15(GDF-15)in elderly patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A total of 108 elderly CHF patients admitted in our department from January 2020 to January 2024 were prospectively recruited and then randomly divided into a western medicine group(conventional treatment with western medicine,54 cases)and Yixinshu tablet group(conventional western medicine+Yixinshu tablet,54 cases).General clinical data,efficacy,echocardiographic parameters,myocardial injury markers,vascular endothe-lial function indicators,miR-206 and GDF-15 levels,and incidence of adverse reactions were com-pared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate was significantly higher in the Yixinshu tablet group than the western medicine group(94.44%vs 81.48%,P<0.05).After treatment,the Yixinshu tablet group obtained obviously higher LVEF,LVFS,and NO and miR-206 levels,but lower cardiac troponin(cTnI),creatine kinase MB isoenzyme(CK-MB),endothe-lin-1(ET-1)and GDF-15 levels when compared with the western medicine group(P<0.01).There was no statistical difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the Yixinshu tab-let group and the western medicine group(7.41%vs 5.56%,P>0.05).Conclusion Yixinshu tab-let shows exact efficacy for elderly CHF patients,and it can effectively relieve cardiac load and im-prove endothelial vascular function and cardiac function,with certain clinical application value.
