Abstract:
Palliative care plays an important role in improving the quality of life of terminally ill newborns,meeting the emotional support needs of their families,and promoting medical humanistic care.As the primary executors of palliative care,the cognition and practice levels of NICU nurses in this field directly affect the quality of care provided to terminally ill newborns.This article reviews the current status,assessment tools,influencing factors,and intervention measures related to the cognition and practice of NICU nurses in palliative care,aiming to provide a reference for nursing managers to formulate corresponding intervention measures and enhance the quality of care for terminally ill newborns.
