Abstract:
China's guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of primary liver cancer(2024 edition)defines hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)with diameter ≤ 1.0 cm as subcentimeter HCC(scHCC).The diagnostic criteria of scHCC are as follows:In HCC high-risk populations, after excluding lesions with extremely high T2 signal intensity and"target sign"features, the typical imaging features of HCC could be seen with the combination of extracellular contrast-enhanced MRI and hepatocyte-specific contrast-enhanced MRI,which is characterized by non-rim arterial phase hyperenhancement combined with washout in portal vein phase/delayed phase/transitional phase.MRI diagnosis of scHCC was focused and reviewed in this article.
