Abstract:
Objective To analyze the relationship between first-trimester serological screening markers pregnancy associated plasma protein-A(PAPP-A),free beta-human chorionic gonadotrophin(free-hCGβ),gestational weight gain(GWG),and fetal growth restriction(FGR),and to explore their predictive value for FGR.Methods A retrospective study was conducted FGR cases(n=426)were selected from women who received regular prenatal care,first-trimester serological screening,and delivered at Inner Mongolia Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from January,2021,to January 2024.Control group of 520 normal-weight singleton pregnancies from the same period was randomly selected.SPSS 24.0 was used to analyze maternal characteristics and serological data.Receiver operating characteristic curve were generated to evaluate the predictive value of serological markers and GWG for FGR.Results Maternal age in FGR group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).GWG,PAPP-A,and free-hCGβ levels were significantly lower in FGR group(P<0.05).Advanced maternal age,decreased PAPP-A,reduced free-hCGβ,and insufficient GWG were identified as independent risk factors for FGR.The combined predictive model(PAPP-A,free-hCGβ,maternal age,and GWG)achieved an area under the curve of 0.806(95%CI:0.778-0.834)for FGR prediction.Conclusion Factors influencing FGR include PAPP-A,free-hCGβ,maternal age,and GWG.The combination of these markers demonstrates high predictive value for FGR.
