Abstract: Latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA) is a type of mixed diabetes in WHO2019 Diabetes classification. LADA has both type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes genetic susceptibility genes. It is difficult to distinguish LADA from type 1 diabetes mellitus and type 2 diabetes mellitus. This paper systematically reviewed the genetic background and immune characteristics of LADA, providing new ideas for the study of LADA and theoretical support for the precise diagnosis and treatment of LADA and immune intervention strategies.
