Abstract:
Left ventricular pseudoaneurysm was a rare and potentially dangerous complication after myocardial infarction. Compared with true aneurysm, left ventricular pseudoaneurysm had a worse prognosis. A 56-year-old male patient was admitted to hospital with "chest pain for 15 years, recurrent gasping and loss of consciousness for 6 years". After admission, echocardiography and cardiac CT were performed to confirm true aneurysm complicated with left ventricular pseudoaneurysm rupture, and aneurysm resection plus coronary artery bypass grafting was performed. Enhanced cardiac CT examination 6 years after surgery showed complete repair of the rupture, and the patient was generally fine.
