Abstract: Endometriosis (EMs) is a common benign disease among women of childbearing age, and multiple studies have shown that it may be a triggering factor for ovarian epithelial tumors. Endometriosis associated ovarian cancer (EAOC) often lacks clear early clinical symptoms and relies on pathological diagnosis, making early diagnosis and treatment difficult. Exploring the mechanism of malignant transformation and migration of EMs and finding effective early diagnostic strategies are inevitable choices for early treatment of diseases and improvement of patient prognosis. This article reviews the pathogenesis and recent diagnostic and differential diagnostic methods of EMs related ovarian cancer, providing important evidence for early detection of EAOC.
