Abstract:
This paper reviews the history and contributions of the Qidong Cancer Registry(QCR)since its establishment in 1972,focusing on its practical experience in building a cancer registry system from scratch,refining technical methods,reporting registration data,and advancing inter-nationalization.By submitting data to the Cancer Incidence in Five Continents(CI5),it has also promoted the improvement of cancer registry technical quality.The accumulation and application of long-term cancer registry data have not only provided scientific evidence for the prevention and control of liver cancer and other cancers locally but also played a demonstration role in the development of the national cancer registry system,providing valuable experience for other regions.With the advancement of information technology,the digitization and networking of cancer regi-stries will become the mainstream trend in the future.It is anticipated that the QCR will continue to make significant contributions to the development of cancer registration nationwide.
