Abstract:
Objective:To observe the effects of peer education mode on the self-efficacy and quality of life of patients with lymphoma. Methods:Using a non-synchronous experimental design,89 lymphoma patients from February 2018 to January 2019 were selected as the control group, and 89 patients from February 2019 to February 2020 were selected as the experimental group. The control group received routine nursing care, while the experimental group received peer education on the basis of routine nursing measures, with a nursing duration of 6 months for both groups. The quality of life,self-efficacy,and self-management level of two groups of patients before and after intervention were compared. Results:After intervention, the self-efficacy score of the experimental group(85.32±11.02)was significantly higher than that of the control group(72.54±9.61)(P<0.001).The standardized score of quality of life in the field of emotional function in the experimental group[66.67(IQR:50.00-83.33)]was significantly higher than that in the control group[58.33(IQR:33.33-75.00)](P=0.020).The standardized score of quality of life in the area of nausea and vomiting was 16.67(IQR:0.00-33.00)significantly lower than that in the control group(IQR:0.00~50.00)(P=0.024).Conclusion:Peer education model can significantly improve the quality of life and self-efficacy of patients with malignant tumor receiving chemotherapy.
