Abstract:
Viruses carried by bats in the southeastern coastal areas of China were screened with next-generation sequencing analysis. The results showed that many viruses were involved, but parvoviruses were the top ones, with a total of 150 812 viral read lengths and 12 894 parvovirus reads. Accordingly, the parvovirus was identified and analyzed with series gene walking amplifications. The coding regions of parvovirus was amplified from bat intestinal tissue, and the homology alignment showed the highest homology with BtRf-PV/SX2013 ( 91%). The preliminary investigations pave the way to uncover the myth of virus carried by bat populations in China.
