Abstract:
The sodium channel gene of Culex pipiens pallens collected from Hebei Province was cloned and sequenced using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction ( RT-PCR ) .The alignment results are consistent with the sodium channel gene announced in GenBank. The study lays a foundation for development of the researches on mosquito resistance. Meanwhile, seven amino acid substitutions ( A32T, T336A, S342P, K535E, L1035F, N1595S and F1982L) and seven alternative splicing have been found in the sodium channel gene from this field Cx.pipiens pallens, including the classic resistant mutation L1014F ( L1035F).The relationship between these substitutions and resistance is still unknown and deserve further study.
