Abstract: Percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy(PTNB)technology has already been widely applied in clinical practice,and the clinical demand for this technology is increasing.Although the operation of PTNB is only a secondary surgery,it still carries certain unavoidable complications.Although many conventional methods can be effectively used for preventing the complications of PTNB,the incidence of PTNB-related complications is still high.Researchers have found that injecting specific materials in the puncture needle track can further reduce the incidence of complications.In recent years,researchers have constantly explored the occlusive effect of many blocking materials such as autologous blood clot,normal saline,gelatin sponge,hydrogel,hemostatic preparations,etc.,and conducted lots of in-depth studies on these materials.This article aims to summarize the existing literature concerning the blocking materials so as to promote the development of this technology.
