Abstract:
Long bone metastases often cause intractable pain, motor dysfunction, and pathological fractures, significantly compromising patients' quality of life. While conventional treatments such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, analgesics, and surgery have inherent limitations, the"percutaneous reinforced concrete technology",i.e.percutaneous reinforced concrete osteoplasty(PRCO),has demonstrated promising minimally-invasive therapeutic outcomes through closed percutaneous puncture, coaxial placement of metal implants, and bone cement anchoring. This article comprehensively reviews the PRCO,focusing on its research background, therapeutic mechanism, technical key points, clinical efficacy, and potential complications.
