Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effects of horizontal rhythmic therapy combined with cardiopulmonary rehabilitation training on the motor function of elderly patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A total of 86 elderly CHF patients admitted to Huai'an Second People's hospital between January 2021 and December 2023 were randomly assigned into experimental group or control group, with 43 cases in each group. The control group received conventional drug treatment and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation training, and the experimental group additionally received horizontal rhythmic therapy. The intervention lasted for 12 weeks. The left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),oxygen uptake at anaerobic threshold(VO? at),peak oxygen uptake(VO?peak),carbon dioxide equivalent slope(VE/VCO? slope),6-minute walk distance(6MWD),respiratory function(Borg score),health behavior(SRAHP score),C-reactive protein(CRP),N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP),quality of life(MLHFQ score),and treatment compliance were compared between the two groups. Results After the intervention, the experimental group showed significantly improved LVEF,VO2 at,VO2 peak,6MWD,SRAHP score, along with lower VE/VCO2 slope,Borg score,CRP,NT-proBNP and MLHFQ score(all P<0.05).The experimental group had a higher rate of adherence to medical advice(P<0.05).Conclusion Horizontal rhythmic therapy combined with cardiopulmonary rehabilitation training can significantly improve cardiopulmonary efficiency, exercise capacity, respiratory efficiency, and overall quality of life, promote health behaviors and adherence to medical advice, and reduce inflammatory marker levels and cardiac load in elderly CHF patients.
