Abstract:
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of endoscopic ultrasound combined with macrophage inhibitory factor-1(MIC-1)and serum tumor-marker carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)in pancreatic cancer. Methods One hundred patients with highly suspected pancreatic cancer(observation group)who underwent endoscopic ultrasonography at Suzhou Municipal Hospital between March 2019 and March 2022 and 50 healthy volunteers(control group)were enrolled in this study.Their CA19-9 levels were detected by chemiluminescence and MIC-1 levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunoassay.Pathological results of patients after surgery were taken as the golden standard. The diagnostic value of endoscopic ultrasound,MIC-1 or CA19-9 and their combined evaluation in pancreatic cancer was analyzed. Results Serum CA19-9 and MIC-1 levels in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The sensitivities of endoscopic ultrasound,MIC-1,and CA19-9 in diagnosis of pancreatic cancer was 92.11%,90.79%,and 90.79%,respectively,which were higher than their combined evaluation(84.21%).The specificity of endoscopic ultrasound,MIC-1,and CA19-9 in diagnosis of pancreatic cancer were 79.17%,83.33%,and 75.00%,respectively,which were lower than their combined evaluation(91.67%).The positive predictive value of combined evaluation was 96.97%,and the negative predictive value was 64.71%.Conclusion In the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, combined use of endoscopic ultrasound,MIC-1 and CA19-9 can effectively improve the diagnostic efficiency.
