Abstract:
Objective To explore the predictive value of microRNA-21(miR-21)and nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)in peripheral blood for ST segment resolution in ST segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI)patients after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods A total of 150 STEMI patients treated by PCI from January 2018 to January 2021 Rugao People's Hospital were enrolled. After PCI,there were 44 patients with poor ST segment resolution and 106 patients with good ST segment resolution. The levels of miR-21 and NF-κB before PCI and intraoperative data were analyzed and compared between patients with poor and good segment resolutions. The value of miR-21 and NF-κB in peripheral blood for the prediction of poor ST segment resolution after PCI was investigated. Results There were no significant differences between the two groups in the condition of diseased vessels during PCI,infarct related arteries, the use of tirofiban, thrombus aspiration, stent implantation, vessel diameter of target lesion, vessel length of target lesion,or balloon dilation pressure(P>0.05).The levels of miR-21 and NF-κB in patients with poor ST segment resolution were significantly higher than those in patients with good ST segment resolution(P<0.01).Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis showed that the area under curve(AUC)of combined test of miR-21 and NF-κB was higher than single test in the prediction of poor ST segment resolution, and the cut-off value of miR-21 and NF-κB was 2.30 and 1.31 ng/L in patients with poor ST segment resolution, respectively. Conclusion NF-κB and miR-21 can be used to predict poor ST segment resolution after PCI.
