Abstract:
Objective To investigate possible application of drug combined with psychological nursing intervention for the al -leviation of pain following venepuncture in children .Methods One hundred and fifty-six children with an age of 2-6 years old who underwent superficial dorsal venepuncture in the pediatric ward of the hospital from June to December , 2016 were chosen for the study . Drug therapy of 2.5%lidocaine cream and such psychological nursing methods as distraction , change of posture and other nursing inter-ventions were used to alleviate pain of venepuncture .Following venepuncture , a questionnaire survey was performed to evaluate the fea-sibility, acceptability and applicability of the joint nursing intervention .Results 54.5% of the child patients did not make too much noisy cry during venepuncture .Questionnaire survey showed that 81.4%of the guardians thought the combined nursing method could e-liminate the fear of the children , 92.9%of the guardians were satisfied with venepuncture , and 90.4% of the guardians thought this nursing method was suitable to other children who required puncture .Conclusion Drug treatment combined with psychological nursing intervention could effectively relieve pain caused by venepuncture in preschool children , with good feasibility and acceptability , For this reason, it was further clinical extension .
