Abstract:
Objective To compare the clinical effects of conventional circumcision , disposable circumcision suture device (DCSD), Shangring prepuce surgery on the treatment of redundant prepuce in young soldiers .Methods Clinical data of 488 soldiers who underwent circumcision in No .413 Hospital from June 2013 to September 2016 were analyzed in the study .Of all the cases , 152 received conventional circumcision , 140 had Shangring prepuce surgery and 196 had DCSD.Surgical time, erectile pain scores (VAS) after surgery, amount of hemorrhage during surgery , recovery time, incidence of complications and satisfaction of patients with outward appearance were compared between the 3 groups.Results The conventional circumcision group had the futures of longer surgical time , more blood loss and severer pain after surgery (P<0.05).The Shangring prepuce surgery group had the features of being more vulner-able to edema, incision infection with a high probability of incision disruption and longer recovery time (P<0.05).By contrast, DCSD had the features of shorter surgical time , no incision infection , no incision disruption , shorter recovery time and high rate of patient sat-isfaction(P<0.05).Conclusion The DCSD had the features of shorter surgical time , less pain, faster recovery, lower incidence of complications and higher patient satisfaction rate , for this reason , it was more suitable for those young soldiers with redundant prepuce .
