Abstract:
Objective To analyze prevalence and risk factors of hyperuricemia in a certain navy unit. Methods A total of 1483 commissioned and enlisted from a certain navy unit was selected for the study, and the prevalence and risk factors of hyperuricemia were investigated by questionnaire survey and blood biochemistry. Results (1) Two hundred and nine people had hyperuricemia, with an incidence of 14.09%.Serum urine acid level in the low-age group was significantly lower than that in the high-age group, and the blood urine acid level of commissioned officers was significantly higher than that of the sailors (P < 0.05).(2) Daily exercise intensity (OR =2.108,P < 0.05),the number of days of deployment at sea (OR =2.317,P < 0.05),higher body mass index (OR =1.483,P < 0.05) and daily seafood intake (OR =1.965,P < 0.05) were main risk factors of hyperuricemia. Conclusion High age, senior positions as cadres, low intensity of exercise, prolonged deployment at sea, higher BMI index, excessive intake of seafood were all risk factors of hyperuricemia.Adjustment of daily diet, lower level of purine, control of overweight, and more exercises for enhancement of physical performance were main countermeasures for the prevention of hyperuricemia.
