Abstract:
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of predictive nursing in the prevention of wound infection in patients with gastrointestinal surgery .Methods One hundred and eighty patients who underwent gastrointestinal surgery from January 2012 to January 2013 in the General Surgery Department of our hospital were chosen for the study .They were randomly divided into the experi-mental group and the control group , each consisting of 90 patients.The patients in the control group received routine nursing interven-tion, while those in the experimental group were given predictive nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing .Results Incision infection rate for the patients in the experimental group was 4.45%, the healing rate of incision C was 5.5%, and statistical signifi-cance could be seen, when compared with the control group (P<0.05).Postoperative pain scores of the patients in the experimental group were (5.8 ±1.2), nursing satisfaction scores were (78.5 ±9.8), hospitalization stay was (8.6 ±3.2) days, and hospitaliza-tion cost was (0.96 ±0.31) thousand Yuan, which were all superior to those the control group .Conclusion The application of predic-tive nursing intervention in the operation room could effectively prevent postoperative wound infection in the patients with gastrointestinal tract surgery and was favorable to early recovery of patients .
