Abstract:
Objective To investigate the training and requirements of first aid skills among medical officers onboard naval vessels .Methods An investigation was made on the first aid skills of 56 naval afloat medical officers from a certain naval detachment , who took part in the first aid training , and a statistical analysis was made accordingly .Results A total of 56 effective questionnaires were recovered .Analysis revealed that the medical officers onboard the naval vessels were lacking in the skills of cardiopulmonary resus -citation, the establishment of venous access , invasive diagnosis and treatment techniques , the application of first aid , etc.Conclusion Most naval afloat medical officers were insufficient in the training of comprehensive first aid skills , and they had urgent demands for further training on first aid skills .
