Abstract:
Objective To analyze and summarize the experience of blood supply in overseas medical support during "Harmo-ny Mission 2011", so as to promote blood supply capacity in overseas medical support onboard the hospital ship .Methods The devel-opment of blood supply program in overseas medical support during "Harmony Mission 2011"was analyzed retrospectively .With the walking blood bank as the main supply source of blood combined with blood supply from local people and auto blood transfusion , the de-mands for blood supply were satisfied in the medical service .Results The blood supply program ensured effective and smooth perform-ance of clinical medical care and provided experience for blood supply in future implementation of similar overseas medical service . Conclusion The hospital ship still remained the main emphasis and difficult problems in the blood supply aboard the hospital ship dur -ing prolonged deployment at sea .The introduction of new techniques and new medical systems and the development of emergency blood supply programs could improve the present status of the hospital ship .
