Abstract: Infertility incidence is rising globally every year,and in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET)has become one of the main treatment methods to achieve conception.However,a larger proportion of infertile patients still is unable to conceive pregnancy for the lower successful pregnancy rate of IVF-ET.Acupuncture exerts unique effects as an adjuvant therapy of IVF-ET and has achieved good results in clinical application.This paper reviews the current status and relationship between acupuncture and IVF-ET,further demonstrates the role of acupuncture therapy for IVF-ET,and discusses its direction of subsequent development.
