Abstract:
Yuebi Jia Banxia Decoction comes from Jin Gui Yao Lue. Its medicinal taste is simple and suitable for the syndrome of internal heat retention and wind pathological factors. Modern clinical practice often uses its modified prescription combined with Western medicine therapy to treat respiratory diseases such as bronchial asthma, COPD, pneumonia, bronchitis, and pulmonary heart disease, which can improve symptoms and signs such as asthma, cough, and phlegm, reduce airway hyperresponsiveness, inhibit chronic inflammation, and improve lung function. It can also effectively reduce recurrence and has good safety. The mechanism may be related to regulating cytokine levels, alleviating airway inflammation, improving immune function, regulating various amino acid metabolism levels, down-regulating ERK and NF-κB expressions, and increasing serum fibronectin levels. There were few experimental studies on this mechanism, which need to be strengthened in the future.
