Abstract:
Insulin resistance is not only an important factor in arterial stiffness, endothelial dysfunction, and the progression of metabolic syndrome, but also a predictor of stroke onset and outcome. The triglyceride-glucose index is a simple evaluation index for insulin resistance, and it is cost-effective and reproducible. This article reviews the application progress of triglyceride-glucose index in the field of ischemic stroke.
