Abstract:
The Pipeline embolization device is widely used in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms, and its clinical efficacy and safety have gradually been confirmed. However, the high metal density structure requires patients to take antiplatelet drugs for a long time to avoid thromboembolic complications. Pipeline Shield is a novel surface-modified embolization device, which can effectively reduce the risk of stent thrombosis by altering the coagulation activity of the material and promoting stent endothelialization. This article reviews the research progress of surface-modified embolization device Pipeline Shield in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms.
