Abstract:
Ischemic stroke is one of the leading causes of death and long-term disability worldwide. The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index is a biomarker that reflects insulin resistance and metabolic disorders, and is closely associated with the occurrence, progression, and outcome of ischemic stroke. This article summarizes the predictive role of TyG index in patients with ischemic stroke and discusses its potential applications in evaluating stroke outcome and guiding personalized treatment.
