Abstract:
Human milk oligosaccharides(HMOs)are the unique carbohydrates in breast milk, which are abundant in early lactation, and play a key role in infant growth and development.HMOs can be used as response regulators of intestinal cells,anti-adhesion antibacterial agents, immunomodulatory agents, and provide prebiotic effects.HMOs play an important role in regulating intestinal mucosal barrier function,anti-infection,and promoting the development and maturation of immune function, which have a profound impact on the short-term and long-term health of infant and reducing the risk of certain diseases. This article reviews the impact of HMOs on infant health.
