Abstract:
Human milk oligosaccharides（HMOs）are the unique carbohydrates in breast milk，which are abundant in early lactation，and play a key role in infant growth and development.HMOs can be used as response regulators of intestinal cells，anti-adhesion antibacterial agents，immunomodulatory agents，and provide prebiotic effects.HMOs play an important role in regulating intestinal mucosal barrier function，anti-infection，and promoting the development and maturation of immune function，which have a profound impact on the short-term and long-term health of infant and reducing the risk of certain diseases.This article reviews the impact of HMOs on infant health.
