Abstract:
Iron, which has the highest content and is the most required trace element in the human body,is vital to the normal metabo-lism and life activities of our body. The liver is the main storage organ of iron, and iron metabolism disorders have various harms to the liver and are associated with the development and progression of a variety of liver diseases. In recent years, metabolic associated fatty liver disease has become a liver disease with a high incidence rate globally, and its development and progression are affected by many factors such as iron metabolism and involves different molecular mechanisms. This article reviews the effect of iron metabolism disor-ders on metabolic associated fatty liver disease and summarizes the treatment methods for metabolic associated fatty liver disease based on iron metabolism disorders,in order to provide more ideas for the prevention and treatment of metabolic associated fatty liver disease.
