- Abstract: Hepatic fibrosis is a chronic pathological condition characterized by hepatic stellate cell activation and excessive deposition of extracellular matrix， which would progress to liver cirrhosis and even hepatocellular carcinoma. Therefore， reversal of hepatic fibrosis is of great importance for improving quality of life and prolonging survival time. Currently， various therapeutic drugs for hepatic fibrosis have entered the stage of clinical trial. This article reviews the research advances in therapeutic drugs for hepatic fibrosis in the recent years， in order to provide insights into the treatment of hepatic fibrosis and future research directions for drugs.
