Abstract:
Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and elevated all-cause mortality. Most studies have found that poorer dietary quality is closely associated with a high prevalence of MS. Dietary index can be used to evaluate the dietary quality of the population. The aim of this paper is to review domestic and international research on the relationship between dietary index and metabolic syndrome, thereby providing a basis for adjusting dietary quality in MS patients.
