Abstract:
Early screening for neonatal jaundice has always been essential to neonatal health care. In recent years, there have been advancements and updates in the methods and equipment employed for early screening of neonatal jaundice, including visual assessment, icterometer, point-of-care testing of serum bilirubin, jaundice screening utilizing smartphone applications, and end-tidal carbon monoxide detection. This article reviews the relevant research and progress associated with the methods above, aiming to offer a reference and guidance for scientific research and clinical practices.
