Abstract:
Thyroid dysfunction is a common endocrine disorder associated with severe adverse health outcomes, including mortality. Thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH) is the most sensitive and specific marker of thyroid function and is the primary indicator of diagnosis. There is a growing body of evidence on the relationship between TSH and mortality. The author conducted a comprehensive review of the literature to summarize and analyze the association between TSH levels and all-cause mortality. The objective was to offer valuable insights for the diagnosis and management of thyroid dysfunction and to contribute to the reevaluation of TSH reference range.
