Abstract: Dignity therapy is a new and individualized psychotherapy to improve dignity for terminally ill patients and reduce psychological distress of their family and friends.In China, the practice and research concerning dignity therapy for elderly patients in hospice care are still in an exploratory stage.Here we summarize research on the implementation of dignity therapy, in order to provide a theoretical basis for its practice in hospice care for the elderly.
