Abstract:
Pneumocystis pneumonia（PCP）is a common opportunistic infection in acquired immunodeficiency syndrome（AIDS）patients，often resulting in hospitalization and death. Typical clinical manifestations of PCP in AIDS patients include subacute onset of progressive dyspnea，dry cough and fever. There is also a risk of sudden deterioration during the subacute stage of the disease. The severity of clinical signs is often disproportionate to the severity of disease. This consensus describes the epidemiology，clinical manifestations，diagnosis，treatment，and prevention of PCP in AIDS patients based on international and domestic research advances in this area，and clinical practice in China，aiming to provide a reference for the diagnosis and treatment of PCP in AIDS patients.
