Abstract:
Adult diffuse hepatic hemangiomatosis (DHH) is an extremely rare disease, which can occur in one or more liver segments or even involve the whole liver. Extrahepatic lesions also occurred in some patients. Adult DHH is often misdiagnosed due to its rareness and lack of understanding. The treatment strategy and prognosis differs according to the type of DHH. This review aims to raise awareness of the prevalence, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of adult DHH.
