Abstract:
Objective:To explore the status quo of supportive care needs of elderly patients with diabetes retinopathy after vitrectomy, and analyze its influencing factors, so as to provide reference for the formulation of nursing interventions. Methods:From May 2021 to May 2023, 274 diabetes retinopathy patients aged 65 years or older who underwent vitrectomy in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were selected as the study subject by convenience sampling. The survey was conducted using the General Information Questionnaire, Supportive Care Needs Survey, Family partnership, Adaption, Growth, Affection, Resolve Index, and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of supportive care needs of elderly patients with diabetes retinopathy after vitrectomy. Results:The score of supportive care needs of elderly patients with diabetes retinopathy after vitrectomy was (95.95±6.96). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that educational level, self-care ability, family care, and anxiety and depression were the influencing factors of supportive care needs in patients, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The elderly patients with diabetes retinopathy after vitrectomy have high needs for supportive care, and most of the needs have not been met. Medical and nursing staff should fully evaluate the clinical characteristics of patients and develop personalized nursing strategies to meet their needs and improve their quality of life.
